MySTEM - Mentoring Youth in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. These subjects are often taught separately, but are all interconnected just as reading, writing, and speaking are; understanding in each of the STEM fields deepens understanding in the others.

Worcester Area College Mentors Program (WACMP)

Thanks to the dedication and giving spirit of staff and students at seven area colleges, Big Brothers Big Sisters Central Mass/Metrowest has one of the largest college mentor programs in the country.  Today more than 700 college students from seven Worcester schools mentor at-risk children in the city’s elementary and middle schools each week.

The Mazie Mentoring Program

Big Brothers Big Sisters Central Mass/Metrowest recently acquired one of the best high school mentoring programs in Massachusetts.  More than 120 high school students from Framingham and Waltham are mentored by dedicated adults regularly to help them achieve their goals.
