Our supporters have some great things to say about our programs!

“We at United Way are PROUD to support and partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters and are humbled by their important work that builds lives.” -Tim Garvin, President & CEO, United Way of Central Massachusetts

Jenna shows me the importance of living in the moment and finding happiness in simple things.  She teaches me the value of one hour and how spending time with others can be empowering for everyone.   Spending time with others for service is a service for volunteers too, and it's essential to our own growth.”  -Natalie, Big Sister from Holy Cross matched at Girls, Inc. of Worcester

"What can I say?  Since my friend's wife "shoved" me into BBBS, I've had a lot of fun. I think reliable attendance and persistence has made an impression on my Little Brother. It's so simple, but I don't think he had anyone (outside of school) who was paying close attention to his performance and behavior and valuing it. Besides building a relationship with Steven, I have had the unexpected pleasure of meeting and getting to know a lot of the kids in and out of the program.  I love seeing them each week and I think they feel the same way.  I'm a little different, a little crazy, but I think it fits in well with BBBS.  There are hundreds of kids (in and out of the program) who are desperate to make a friend and to find someone who wants to know them and who cares about them.  That's it…there's no magic. No special talent required...just consistency and caring." -Dan Doyle, Big Brother from Unum

"Brian is a real gem and I appreciate his time with Jon so much.  With a serious shortage of good male role models in my family, he has been a great positive influence on Jon.  I cannot thank you enough for introducing them. They have been snow tubing, gone to Celtics game, Sharks game - they are very busy.  They are going skiing at Wachusett this weekend. Jon is having some issues with school lately and Brian is helping with that.  I keep him apprised of what is going on at this end, and he tries to gently move Jonathan in the right direction." -Parent, child enrolled in community-cased mentoring program.

"I'm super lucky because my Little is very willing to open up and talk about what's going on her life. Throughout all the years of our match, we've also been lucky enough to take advantage of the great opportunities through Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Some of my Little's favorites have been the Celtics game we went to, the American Idol concert at the DCU center, Cirque du Soleil and the Ringling Circus at the DCU center, and the gymnastics meet at the DCU center. We loved all of it, thank you so much BBBS CM/MW!" -Big Sister, Community-based mentoring program
