WPI Basketball Games to Benefit BBBS CM/MW
Wednesday, January 27, 2016

All proceeds from the WPI men’s and women’s Saturday NEWMAC doubleheader at Harrington Auditorium will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass./Metrowest. Additionally, WPI will be accepting donations of board games and arts and crafts for BBBS.

The WPI women (16-1, 8-0) will host MIT at 5 p.m. WPI has won a program-record 14 straight games and this week received votes in the D3hoops.com top 25 poll for the first time.

The WPI men (15-2, 5-1) will host Springfield at 7. The Engineers moved up one spot to No. 13 in this week’s D3hoops.com poll.

Both programs, under coaches Cherise Galasso and Chris Bartley, have been longtime supporters of BBBS, and their players volunteer as site-based mentors at Elm Park Community School in Worcester. A number of their “Littles” will be in attendance for Saturday’s games.
